General Conference

General Conference was wonderful this month!  I love the talks and all the things I learned.
Elder Holland talked about how some people today are looking for a "comfortable God," who does not require anything, because they don't want to put forth any effort.  He also said that if we are even thinking about breaking the commandments, we have broken them already in our hearts.
Sister Reeves talked about how nothing should take priority over our spouse, the evils of pornography, and how youth need to take responsibility for their spiritual protection.
Elder Eyring talked about how one person's decision to make and keep covenants with the Lord affects generations of people.
Elder Nelson talked about how keeping divine commandments brings blessings every time, and breaking divine commandments brings a loss of blessings every time.  Wrong is never right, no matter who is doing it.

Elder Hales talked about the different levels of OBEDIENCE.  Jesus Christ is our example of true obedience: "Not my will but thine be done".
President Uctdorf counseled us that our lives can be sweeter, more joyful and glorious, if we will life the goblet of gratitude and be grateful in all circumstances for the Lord's blessings.
Elder Bednar gave a wonderful talk on spiritual load, and how the heavy loads give us traction to get through trials, with an analogy of his friend's truck being stuck in the snow.
President Monson counselled us to be kind and loving.
