3 New Grandbabies

It's been an exciting and busy couple of months.  On the day of Brent's wedding, during the same hour, our 3rd grandchild and 1st grandson was born.  We were sad they couldn't make it to the wedding, but very happy that the baby was born so quickly and all was well.  He is Adorable!!!  And his hair is really amazing.

Then, a little over a month later, the next 2 grandsons were born, 45 minutes apart.  One in Canada,  and one in Reno.  The labors were similar for the moms-long and we were getting worried.  But, everything turned out well and we are so thankful they are here safely!

That makes 5 grandchildren for us.  Are we old enough for this?  I guess so!!  :)  haha  We feel very  blessed and thankful.  Can't wait to see them all together.

Update on Elder Johnny Wadsworth

I love this letter we got from Elder Wadsworth today!
It helps me want to try harder and do better :)

"Hey everyone! Being a missionary is pretty great.  We get to go around inviting people to find happiness through knowing God and living his commandments. There's nothing more fulfilling, but it doesn't last forever. Everyone that is eligible should do it.

My companion is great. The weather is great. The people are great here.

Saturday night we got home like 5 minutes before 9 and we didn't want to quit before 9 so we decided to make some calls, but ended up meeting a bunch of people instead. The last person we met was Sara who I'd talked to a few times before. She was limping because she broke her leg, so we started talking about that and then I don't even know what happened, but she started telling us about her drinking problem and that she been trying really hard to quit for 3 months. She started drinking when she was 15. We gave her the church's 12-step book and a book of Mormon and talked for about 20 minutes with her mostly reassuring her that God doesn't hate her and that He'll  help her change. It's the best feeling to know that you have or can help someone.

We see people everyday who we don't know besides that they are our brother or sister. I guarantee we knew them before this life and that we're all here at the right time. When we love God we want to share his love with others and that's what drives me to talk to anyone even though I couldn't even open my mouth a year ago. I love this quote from Preach My Gospel: "When you are filled with charity, you obey God’s commandments and do all you can to serve others and help them receive the restored gospel." Christlike Love is a gift. We don't receive it when others change their behavior, but when we stop judging their behavior.

Some other things I got to do this week were building a fence brace for someone with Elder Goncalves and doing service at the World Refugee Day in Portland which is what the picture are of.

Hope you all have a good and safe week!

Love,
Elder Wadsworth

Brent and Caliesha Married!

April 21 was a busy and beautiful day for our family.  As planned, Brent and Caliesha got married
in the Reno Temple.  Everything went well.  We are very happy for them.
Rebekah did a great job taking pictures for them:)  We missed Jared and Laurel-
they were having a baby at the exact same time:)

Pinewood Derby

Jed had a great time at the Pinewood Derby and was ecstatic that he won first place:)  He also did a great job decorating his cake:)

Easter 2018

We had a wonderful Easter.  It was great to have family around and see the grand-babies:)  It was also very memorable because we got to watch General Conference and there were a lot of really great and inspiring talks.  I love contemplating on the life of our Savior and the wonderful things He has made possible for us.  :)
