Discerning Truth from Error

It seems there is so much deceptiveness going on in the world.  Good is made to look like bad, Bad is made to look like good.  I hope and pray that the citizens of our country will study and choose wisely at this election time, and listen to the Spirit of Christ, which is given to every person, as stated in this scripture:

For behold, ...it is given unto you to judge, that ye may know good from evil; and the way to judge is as plain, that ye may know with a perfect knowledge, as the daylight is from the dark night.
For behold, the Spirit of Christ is given to every man, that he may know good from evil; wherefore, I show unto you the way to judge; for every thing which inviteth to do good, and to persuade to believe in Christ, is sent forth by the power and gift of Christ;  wherefore ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of God.
But whatsoever thing persuadeth men to do evil, and believe not in Christ, and deny him, and serve not God, then ye may know with a sure knowledge it is of the devil; for after this manner doth the devil work, for he persuadeth no man to do good, no, not one; neither do his angels; neither do they who subject themselves unto him.
Moroni 7:15-17, The Book of Mormon

I was telling my 3 and 5 year old children about taxes and the difference between what Democrats want and what Republicans want, and how bad it is to be taxed and then have that money used against your will to pay for (among other things) abortions, or in other words, to kill unborn babies.   That's pretty strong stuff to be telling kids that young, but I remember hearing about abortion when I was little, and just like my children, I thought it unbelievable and so very wicked that anyone would want to do that to a precious little baby.

We need a president that will defend and protect the values our country was established on-faith in God,  faith in the family, and living God's laws.  I pray for our country and the people in it.  And, I pray that Mitt Romney will win this election.
